Pre-Treatment Instructions

PRE-TREATMENT CARE

MICROCHANNELING

1: If you get cold sores regularly, taking acyclovir or valacyclovir starting one day prior to your microchanneling will reduce the likelihood of a breakout due to your treatment.

2: No caffeine on the day of treatment, caffeine heightened skin sensitivity. Women please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

3: Discontinue retinol (2% or higher) or Tretinoin at least 3 days prior to treatment.

4: Numbing cream is applied, unless waived by the client. You can expect mild redness and a tight, sunburn sensation for between 4-72 hours.

5: If your liver, kidneys and immune system are healthy, taking an NSAID such as Ibuprofen 2 hours before treatment may reduce any discomfort.

6: Drink an extra 24-32oz of water for 2-3 days prior to treatment.

7: Please arrive without make-up, with clean, (and for men a clean shaven) face.

8: If you've had Botox, Fillers or Threads injected you must wait at least two weeks before getting microchanneling and you must be satisfied with the results before I can offer you any other treatments.

9: If you are being treated for hair loss, please arrive with clean hair. Do not apply sprays or gels.
